Mid-September Development Update

  1. Local successfully operates as a USB peripheral to an unmodified Windows host. The host recognized and communicated bidirectionally with Local using existing Windows USB drivers. Proof point: No changes required to the host application or software.

  2. Remote successfully operates as a USB host. Remote recognized and communicated with an unmodified commercial USB peripheral through its existing USB interface. Proof point: No changes required to the USB peripheral.

  3. Local operates simultaneously as both a USB peripheral and USB host. Proof point: Straightforward integration with the ruggedized wireless link using standard USB interfaces.

Summary

Together, the above milestones demonstrate the interfaces required to replace a wired USB connection with a wireless connection transparently, without changes to either the host application or the USB peripheral.
